Hiking into Tallulah Gorge is one of my favorites in Georgia. You have to get a permit and on the weekends they are usually gone by 10 am, but we went during the week and had a blast. It’s essentially about 300 stairs down to a bunch of rock climbing (hardly any trail walking, per se) until you get to the sliding rock and swimming hole. We took off our shoes for much of it this time as the rocks are super slick if your feet are wet at all. It’s a fun hike, fairly challenging with a big payoff at the end!
