From a trip to Trembly Bald Mountain Resort recently. They rent original rustic cabins that have been moved on to the property from the 1700 and 1800s. A weekend with no cell phone reception was so pleasantly relaxing. As for the old cabin, I never realized how few windows they had and the doorway up to the sleeping loft was so short even I had to duck. I did knock my head once quite nicely. Though, at just once, I thought I was doing pretty good. The cabin was fun to sleep and imagine being made and knocked about in for a couple hundred years. Maybe one day we’ll build one, too. Though I’d love to live inĀ any of these, too.
