I’m looking for an alternative to the traditional Filipino Buko salad made with canned fruits. This one I’ll have to try along with this one that bears no resemblance, other than the young coconut. I did make one with just the young coconut (diced not shredded, I don’t have a melon scraper), coconut cream, a couple tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and strawberries and it was tasty. Next time, we’ll go with some mango. (Tips on opening a young coconut.)
