Our cake topper! All photos were taken by Mark of LeahAndMark.com who I’ve sung the praises of before but I’m still singing. We had a gluten-free chocolate cake and a pound cake made by Icing Cake Design which is just down the street from us.
Busy week with several illustration projects but come by and see us this weekend at the Columbia Museum of Art’s Craft Bar Happy Weekend!!

The ceremony was definitely our favorite moment of the weekend. Our nieces and nephew were our balloon people and we had everyone walk down to us which filled us completely. It took us a good minute to regain some composure and even then our words were lost in a few tears. I’m not sure how much more I’ll say about it but it was amazing. I know for some people I’ve heard the wedding is a bit anti-climactic but we were definitely riding a high all weekend and surrounded by so many good people and so much love. We are incredibly blessed. It’s back to work on Monday, thank you for all your well wishes and happy weekend!
The photos above were taken by Mark of LeahandMark.com who is based here in Atlanta and who is absolutely wonderful to work with—I should do another post with the vendors we used actually but nothing but goodness to say about them. Book them. You’ll be happy.
A few weeks back, we went to a book signing for Cheryl and Griff’s Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook! I know we were so happy to see them the photo is blurry but you get the idea. Savannah is such a special place for us and Back in the Day was a big part of our time there. I remember the very first time I had their Jambon Royal and my mouth sang. Literally. It’s not fussy, it’s not exotic, it’s just damn good. The cupcakes bit me later. Their cookbook is chock full of so many of my favorites from their bakery. You might want to buy one for yourself, in case you aren’t of the good fortune to be living in Savannah anymore either.
